Chris is an associate who began his civil litigation practice with the firm in 2009. Chris was sworn in as a member of the Bar during a special session of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

Prior to coming to Hall Rodgers, Chris interned at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where he assisted in drafting legal opinions, conducted research, and assisted Judge Tyson with writing a law review article published in the Campbell Law Review. Chris has also worked at the Wake County District Attorney's office, McAngus, Goudelock & Courie in Raleigh, and the Center for Heirs Property & Preservation in Charleston, South Carolina.

A fourth generation Raleigh native, Chris attended Broughton High School, following in the footsteps of his grandmother, mother, and sister. Chris earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University in 2004. While there, he served as president of his fraternity.

After graduating from N.C. State, Chris moved to Charleston where he attended and received his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law. In law school, Chris was named to the Dean's List and was actively involved in many student groups and organizations.

In addition to practicing law, Chris is a member of the Raleigh Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, The Wolfpack Club, and The Young Associates of the North Carolina History Museum, among others. On the weekends he can normally be found "down east"on the North Carolina coast. He enjoys attending sporting events, boating, duck hunting, offshore fishing, beach music, traveling, politics, and spending time with his family and friends.
